Just Speechy, PLLC was founded in 2022 by Jacklyn Marcello, Rachel Kass, and Dr. Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher all who are experienced speech-language pathologists. Jacklyn, Rachel and Kristen or the “SPEACH” team, decided to open a practice that embeds functional and developmentally appropriate goals, parent collaboration and effectiveness of skills across multiple settings at its’ forefront. They also have a desire to connect with educational teams to provide ongoing training and support for individuals with communication disorders and delays. Jacklyn, Rachel, and Kristen have become experts in tailoring speech and language sessions to each individual client’s needs to maintain motivation, engagement and progress.
Jacklyn Marcello, M.S., CCC-SLP-TSSLD
Jacklyn Marcello, co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC, is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in social-pragmatic disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, speech-sound disorders and a variety of communication deficits. Jacklyn obtained her Bachelors of Arts in speech-language and audiology at Iona College. From there, Jacklyn graduated with her Masters of Science in Communication Disorders from Mercy College. Jacklyn has worked in various academic and private settings which has provided her with a unique perspective on child, adolescent and teen social development. Jacklyn spent the last three years learning and promoting social communication progression and has attended Social Thinking Inc. conferences. Coupled with her passion as a therapist, Jacklyn is also an adjunct professor in the Communication Disorders graduate program at Iona University and is a clinical supervisor for clinical fellows and graduate students pursuing a career in speech-language pathology.
Rachel Kass, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Rachel Kass is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC and Westchester-Putnam TheraTeam. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders at Iona College and received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University. Rachel specializes in working with the preschool and school-aged population. She is trained in Sounds In Motion, which focuses on a multi-sensory approach to phonological awareness, reading and articulation skills. Rachel has worked with a variety of clients presenting with difficulties with articulation, language skills, stuttering/fluency, literacy, feeding, and auditory comprehension. One of Rachel’s best qualities is her ability to motivate children, make therapy fun and develop new skills. Rachel is certified through the American Speech-Hearing Association, licensed through New York State and holds a teacher’s license for speech and language disabilities (TSSLD). She supervises graduate students and clinical fellows and gives trainings on language development, language disorders, and foundational literacy skills. Rachel also serves her community as an active member on the board of the Putnam County Business Council.
Dr. Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher, ClinScD, CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher, co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC., and Westchester-Putnam TheraTeam, is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist that specializes in feeding and swallowing disorders in both children and adults. She received her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in communication disorders from Mercy College, her Masters of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College and her Doctorate of Clinical Science (ClinScD) in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountains University of Health Professions. She has completed research in the area of pediatric feeding disorders and in the P.R.O.M.P.T. technique. Kristen is a doctoral mentor for Rocky Mountains University of Health Professions for research projects all throughout the United States. She has been published in various journals for speech-language pathology. She has vast experience working with following disorders such as feeding/swallowing disorders, language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Autism. Kristen is fluent in American Sign Language, is level 2 P.R.O.M.P.T. trained and is trained in the Sequential-Oral-Sensory Approach to Feeding. Kristen is a certified member of the American Speech-Hearing Association, licensed through New York State and holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
